About me

I offer a modern, down-to-earth approach to counselling that’s flexible, engaging, and grounded in real life. Set in a peaceful space beside a beautiful woodland walk, my practice offers an alternative to traditional therapy rooms - somewhere you can breathe, reflect, and feel at ease.

Whether we meet for walk-and-talk sessions, online, or in the therapy room, I tailor support to suit you.
My style is warm, calm, and relatable, always focused on helping you make
meaningful, lasting change. That might involve mindfulness, gentle reflection, or just creating space for you to feel truly heard.
I believe emotional wellbeing is deeply connected to our environment, the people we are surrounded by and how we live day to day. That’s why I aim to provide the most supportive environment for our sessions and take a holistic view- supporting you not just through talking, but by helping you develop self-awareness, self-compassion, and practical strategies that support your emotional health in real life.

I know how powerful it is to be truly listened to.
Originally from Birmingham, I now live by the coast in Lee-on-the-Solent. Like many of my clients, I’ve faced life’s messier bits - grief, parenting, burnout, redundancy. Counselling gave me space to understand myself in ways I hadn’t before. I was able to challenge old beliefs, reconnect with buried emotions, and learn to treat myself with the same care I showed others.
That experience changed me. It made me braver, softer, and clearer about what matters - and ultimately, it led me here.

My experience

Since 2017, I’ve worked with clients in the NHS, Anxiety UK, Mind, and The Bereavement Counselling Charity, and more recently, supporting school staff in education settings. I love supporting people who care for others, and I learn just as much from my clients as they do from me.

As an Integrative Creative Psychotherapist, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches—Person-Centred, CBT, Psychoanalytic, NLP, and coaching—so our sessions are always shaped around what works best for you.

Counsellor, therapist or psychotherapist—what’s the difference?

These terms are often used interchangeably, which can be confusing.
I’m trained as a psychotherapist (though I often use the word counsellor, as it feels more familiar). This means I’m qualified to support you with short-term challenges like stress or grief, as well as deeper, long-standing issues that may be rooted in your past.
Psychotherapy can help you understand emotional patterns, shift beliefs that no longer serve you, and create lasting change. Whether our work is brief or ongoing, I’ll meet you where you are - with compassion, curiosity, and care.
